Contacts in different groups on iPhone and laptop

I have contacts on my Mac that are in just one group (Restaurants), but on my iPhone contacts from another group (Computer) show up in Restaurants. How can I fix this? I don't see how to edit groups on the phone.

Irritating because I was trying to look through my Restaurant list on the phone to see if anything familiar was nearby.

Hello SoCalMtnBiker,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you have a group created on your Mac named Resturants, and another group on your iPhone called Computer which is showing up in the Resturants group. To verify that your groups are syncing from your Mac to your iPhone correct, login to www.icloud.com and check to see if the groups are set up properly. You can then edit the groups, if necessary.

Thank you for responding. I'm now wondering if I didn't have two groups checked on my iPhone. It seems to be OK now. Sitting relaxed at my desk is different than in the car trying to do something I don't do too often.

On macOS one can check which groups a contact is in. I can't see how to do that on iOS.

I have about 20 groups, so Computer and Restaurants weren't visible at the same time when selecting groups. I now suspect that in the car I just scrolled down and checked Restaurants and didn't see that Computer got inadvertently checked.

What I really wanted was an option to see what restaurants were near.

Thanks again. Glad that apparently syncing is working correctly because I've had troubles in the past. Had to delete my Calendar a few years ago because it turned out I had thousands of duplicate events. That has made me reluctant to change anything.
