How,do,I,connect,Mac,Book,Pro,15,",with,retina,display,to,an,HP,2509,monitor?

How do I connect my Mac Book Pro 15" w/ retina display to an HP 2509m monitor? Thank you for your guidance!

P.S. I do not have any cables that usually come with the monitor, so I guess I need to get the needed ones...

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), iOS 10.2.1

Input ports are:

Input terminal

1 DVI-D connector

1 HDMI connector

1 VGA connector

Analog VGA is archaic. Do not buy new adapters to use VGA unless you have no other possible choice.

Recommended resolution (H x V)

1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz

That resolution is HD 1080p. Some models of the 15-in Macbook Pro have an HDMI port on the right-hand side, one in from the back, cleverly labelled "HDMI". Use an ordinary male-to-male HDMI cable, no adapter.
