How do I add apps to CarPlay?

Well, you are NOT talking to Apple. This is a user forum.

You're not going to get an answer from Apple here, and I'm guessing that you're not going to get an answer from them at all regarding this, though you're welcome to contact them if you want.

There is a "Contact Support" link at the top of the page.

Google can blame it on Apple if they like, but until they at least attempt to submit a CarPlay compatible version of it to the app store, they're just blowing smoke. Apple has not rejected a CarPlay compatible version of the app because there is no CarPlay compatible version of it to reject.

I have the same issue. But apps for exaplme "Maps", "Google Maps" and "Whatsapp" do not appear automatically and they are supposed to work with it. On the webpage of the CarPlay here in apple.com you say that you can invite apps to CarPlay but it doesn't say how.

Apps must be specifically written to work with CarPlay. If you have a CarPlay compatible app installed on your phone, it will appear in the CarPlay interface automatically.

Pandora is now longer working on my carplay. Is anyone else having this problem. If so, any ideas on how to fix it?

add Waze App into CarPlay please.

Why Waze App don't running or isn't able to runn with carplay...? at Central America Maps App really work bad, really really bad!!! Waze write me that is by police of the App store to CarPlay.

It shows up. I can even select it and it will go to the screen with a song, but it won't play the song. It used to work. I also noticed today that maps no longer work. Wonder if perhaps I did something in the settings.

Then you apparently didn't read it very carefully.

If you want to ask why Waze isn't running on CarPlay, go ask Google. Waze is a Google product, not an Apple product.

To date, Google has not attempted to submit a CarPlay compatible version of Waze to the App Store.

Dear kiltedtim, I asked waze too and they toldme that it's by police of the App store in apple and like you they encourager me to ask to tech support in apple, and yes you're right everybody know waze is a Google product but I'm a user IOS (iPhones, Mac, iMac, appleTV, Watch etc etc) for that reason ask the community about that, if you can't how, you can tell me who know about this topic.

Works just fine in our Hyundai's with CarPlay. Is it not appearing in the menu at all, or is it just not playing when you select it?

Google Maps is not CarPlay compatible. Google has not submitted a CarPlay compatible version of it to the app store for review.
