Needing a quote from insurance

My MacBook Pro recently suffered water damage while I was in holiday and luckily it seems that it will be covered by my insurance. The insurance company is asking for a written repair quote from Apple. How do I go about obtaining one? The closest Apple Store is quite far away from me so I don't want to make the drive im not going to get a written quote. Does anybody have any experience with this? Did they just send an email or write a letter?

Hi,

You'll need to either go to an Apple Store (Contact - Official Apple Support) or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (https://locate.apple.com/). Apple does not provide email or written letter quotes.

So if make an appointment at my local Apple Store, will they give me written estimate so that I can give to my insurance company?

Because it is water damage and it may not be known what the full extent of the damage is until they take it apart, there's a possibility that they cannot give you a written estimate ahead of time, but instead would do the repair and then you'd have the receipt for it.
