audio effect control windows final cut pro X

Strange bug in final cut pro x: audio effect control windows (e.g. eq, compressor, limiter etc) only open occasionally and mostly not. The only way to change parameters is manually which is slow, error-prone and tedious. Does anybody else experience this?

I found the source of the problem: It's a buggy active mouse area. Clicking on the normal icon does exactly the same as "show" & "hide" which it shouldn't do. Only clicking on the left most line of the symbol User uploaded file does the trick. Reliably BTW. The random factor before was caused by the fact that I didn't know this yet. Clicking on the left rim works reliably...

All audio effects in the lower section of the effects panel (pic02). Sometimes I am able to open a single control window after activating "show all windows". But is's a random thing. I try to open the control window by clicking (or double-clicking) on the editor symbol. But instead, it only toggles the drawer with the single parameters (pic01).User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

I have exactly the same weird behavior! spent many time to find a solution to get to the audio panels again. Your Tip (clicking just on the left line of the icon) helped for me, but just a one-time click. Double-Click opens and closes immediately again. Thanks. It's definitely a bug.

I am not seeing the problem on my mac. Clicking anywhere in the button opens the control window every time.

Double-clicking a button amounts to clicking it twice, so that at least that part is working for you as designed - although obviously it does not help you.

It is strange that double-clicking is correctly registered yet a single click somehow isn't.

What pointing device (mouse, trackpad, built-in or third party) are you using?

I am working on a MacBookPro Late 2013. Same bug with internal Trackpad or any mouse. I just restarted FCPX, and now the bug is gone = everything works fine as it should. But I do have this bug from time to time.

->you misunderstood me with the double-click behavior: when FCPX is in buggy mode, only clicking on the left line of the icon does anything: one click opens, double click opens and closes
