Favourites Missing From Sidebar in iTunes

Hope someone can help with this: -

When trying to add a downloaded video file to my Movies in iTunes (12.1.5.21), I used to be able to select the file from my "Favourites" folders (including Downloads) that would appear in the sidebar, but now the "Favourites" folders have disappeared from it.

I can now only see Devices, Shared, Tags and Media in the sidebar. If I scroll over each of these four headings, I do have the option to either show or hide, but the Favourites option has gone completely.

How can I restore Favourites to the sidebar when adding files to iTunes, please?

My iTunes screen looks similar to yours.

However, the difficulty occurs when I want to import a track or a video to my iTunes library.

I click on File then Add to Library.

A pop-up window appears and in the left-hand sidebar I used to be able to see my Favourites listed, e.g.. Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music etc...

...but now the sidebar in the pop-up window displays only Devices, Shared, Tags and Media.

How do I get the Favourites folders to re-appear in the sidebar?

I think I understand what you mean now.

I can't guess what's going on here. On my computer (running Sierra 10.12.3 and iTunes 12.5.5) the window that appears after File > Add to Library... looks exactly as it I remember it, including the list of Favourites (though in the U.S. spelling).

This may not be an iTunes issue, since the app is basically calling on the operating system here to show it where your files are located.
