safari does not load comcast login page

Hello,

I can no longer login to my Comcast account using Safari (10.0.3). I can get to the comcast.com website, but when I click any link there it "times out" without going to the other page. I am using an Administrator account and don't have any Parental Controls active. Last night I was able to get through the Comcast Sign In page, but unable to go anywhere else. This morning I cannot even Sign In!

I don't have this problem when using the Chrome browser. I'm able to Sign In to Comcast and go anywhere on their website. But I don't want to use Chrome.

Thanks,

Bryan

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db and move it to the trash.

Go to Safari Preferences/Extensions and turn all extensions off. Test. If okay, turn the extensions on one by one until you figure out what extension is causing the problem.

Safari Reset

If that doesn't work, try running this program in your normal account , then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.

If you have not done this already, go step by step and test.

1. Empty Caches and test.

Safari > Preference > Advanced

Checkmark the box beside "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

Do this couple of times

2. Remove Cookies and test.

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and Website Data...:

Click the “Manage Website Data” button.

Remove all cookies.

3. Safari > Preferences > Security > Web content:

Make sure “Enable JavaScript” is enabled.

Problem SEEMS to be Safari... When I try to LogIn to Mac Communities in order to Reply to this Post from within Safari, it just goes in circles... ask for user name & password, gives me a secondary Login ID to confirm I'm me, but never actually let me Log In...

Now, switched to Google Chrome and tried Logging into Mac Communities and it Logs In just fine, and lets me reply to your Post...

I did everything shown in your Post, but none of it made any differences. Thanks...
