photos wont recognize people

For months I've taged peoples in photos app

In some cases i did it base upon photos recomodation in a lot of cases I've done it manually by using add faces feature.

Suddenly after an upgrade photos doesn't recognize those people any more. For example in the past I've taged my daughter in 6000 images now photos recognize her only in 11 images . After I've backup all my photos library in time machine as well as in iCloud, I've try to use the repair feature, but it seem that after the repair prices things got even worse. Therefore I've tried to download all my photos library from the time machine but it doesn't help due to the fact that after doing so the app force me to do restore . After restoration once again photos doesn't recognize people or at least most of them.

Keep in mind that during the last years I had to rebuild my photos library several time and each time I said I had it. Now it seem that enough is enough and if I would need to tag again all the people in my photos library that include about 36,000 images than I rather do it in a new app for organizing and editing photos .

Any recommendations?

First off we can not see you so you have to provide actual details

What version of the OS and Photos do you have? How long has it been since you made the latest upgrade? When you open the people album what is the scan status?

You are aware that Photos only uses people it finds in looking for others - the ones you add are no part of the identification process

And if you are often having to rebuild you library then you ened to figure out why - it is not because of Photos - it is a user or hardware issue

and if y=ou do not like Photos and want to use other software have at it - that is purely your choice - we can assist you in using Photos and if you do not like it no problem - use any package you prefer - threatening us does no good at all as we are uses exactly like you and do not care what software you use

I'm using Mac OS sierra 10.12.3

According to the photos app help my photos app is updated

According to the notification in the people album the scanning of finish.

How can I know if it is an hardware problem and if is not the case do you have any productive suggestions rather then educating me ?

Keep in mind that as mentioned in my previous mail during the last years I spent hundred of hours in organizing the photos library including people albums and now due to the last upgrade and scanning all faces I've lost all of it. Moreover this photos app also crashed in the past and I was force to rebuild it 2 times in the past. Moreover every time I've tried rouse the repair feature it always make things worth . Can u understand the frastration ?
