Windows Product Key on MacBook

So I want to download Windows 7 on my 2011 MacBook Pro, but do not really want to pay for a new product key. My mom has a laptop that has Windows 7 installed on it. I'm wondering if I were able to figure out her product key, if I could use it to download Windows 7 and use it for BootCamp. Or is it only compatible with the device it's registered to?

Thanks

P.S. - The reason I want Windows 7 is because my computer is not compatible with Windows 10, and I do not like Windows 8. And the fact my mom has Windows 7 would make it easier.

I'm not really concerned with legality issues, I'm not gonna be selling the MacBook with it installed, and it's my family. It's not like I'm "stealing" it from some stranger. I just need to know if the product key will actually work or if it needs to be purchased new. But since you cannot buy Windows 7 through Microsoft anymore, that's why I want to know if I can use my mom's.
