Hi, does anybody know if there are signature pads which are compatible with OS X?
By googling around I found nothing for the Mac world, but the posts are old...
Maybe, as of now, there are news or updates about this topic.
For example: Wacom STU-xxx and DTU-xxxx are Windows pads... do you know any for electronically/digitally signing documents for Mac?

A âsignature padâ is an electronic device that captures the signature speed and pressure (plus other various parameters) done by someone to provide a legal, binding certification on a document.
So, the tablet stylus on the iPad only captures the handwriting, but not the biometrics.
I quoted Wacom because it seems it's holding the monopoly of these pads, but they are only for Windows.
I am not aware specifically of a signature pad but I have found that you use an i-Pad with a tablet stylus to create one as in the example below (apologies for the crummy handwriting). This was done with an i-Pad Mini 2 in the Notes app with a generic, soft-tipped rubber stylus.
You can use your Preview.app to capture your signature and sign documents for to provide a legal, binding John Henry:

One other question: if I ran Wine with Sign Pro PDF, the software that Wacom S-Pads use for electronically signing PDF documents... would it work?
Ya know, there is a fair amount of discussion on these forums re Wacom tablets (& signature pads?). You may want to search for past questions with the keyword "Wacom" to see how others have used Wacom products. Perhaps they also used Boot Camp on a Mac and ran a MS Windows installation(?). I'm not at all familiar with Wacom products.

FWIW, Topaz Systems also has signature pads that read biometrics.
If you really have a need for such a device you may want to consider running Windows in Boot Camp.
Also, have you tried googling "signature pads for mac"? A few minutes ago I looked on the I-Pad App Store and see there are several "signature" apps available. Not sure if they fulfill your requirements though.
Wow, I've never been asked for that serious a signature. Seems so many are electronic signatures these days. Not a real signature at all.
