What is the recommended mode when the Watch is not in use during the night ? Power off? Do not disturb ? Other?

Re charging - what is most healthy for the Watch? Charge only when low bat ? Not leave it in dock all night ? Other ?

Hello,

At night you could put Apple Watch in airplane mode to conserve battery. Or you could put it in power reserve mode which will probably save the most battery.

To turn on Power Reserve:

  1. Swipe up on the watch face to open Control Center.
  2. Tap the battery percentage, then tap Power Reserve > Proceed.

To turn off Power Reserve:

  1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
  2. Wait for your Apple Watch to restart. You might need to charge your Apple Watch first.

For charging:

Charge your Apple lithium-ion battery whenever you want. There’s no need to let it discharge 100% before recharging. Apple lithium-ion batteries work in charge cycles.

Hi

Apple advises that you can charge Apple Watch whenever you want. There is no need to let the battery discharge to any particular level first, nor any benefit to be gained from doing so:

You may find it most convenient to charge your watch nightly, overnight. The watch cannot be overcharged and the battery will not suffer any harm from regular charging. Charging will stop automatically when the battery is fully charged and start again if and when required due to ongoing battery usage. Follow Apple's safety and handling instructions and also note that:

  • It is not possible to turn the watch off whilst it is on the charger and connected to power - this is normal.
  • It is also normal for your watch, power adapter and charging cable to become warm when connected to power.

You may find (the optional) Nightstand Mode useful:

Most people's cycle is to charge their watch at night. It charges in a little over an hour so it does not need to be on the charger all night but will not harm it.

If you lay it flat on the charger you'll continue to receive notifications and the display will light up but will not vibrate. When you have it on the charger and lay it on its side it go into " nightstand mode". If you tap the watch it will display the time, all notifications will be muted, but the red indicator above the time will show that you have missed any alerts.

Although some people wear it at night. If you do there are third-party Apps to track your movements and best sleep. You can also put the watch in do not disturb and silent, set an alarm and it will gently vibrate your wrist and make no sound to wake you up in the morning
