Collapse and expand on numbers?

I used to work with expand and collapse feature for rows and columns on Excel. This feature is very useful when you have lots of entries on a spreadsheet and you want to avoid clutter. Basically a plus or a minus sign appears next to the columns or rows you have chosen so that you can expand and collapse them anytime you need. This helps hiding unnecessary entries in the spreadsheet and accessing them with a single click when you need to see them. Is this feature available at all in numbers?

Here is a quick video of the feature I mean:

I'm a frequent Excel user, and think you may find that the workarounds, while ingenious, cannot compare to the convenience of the expand/collapse feature that is built right into Excel's interface.

To reduce clutter perhaps best to take advantage of the design of Numbers, which makes it easy to set up multiple tables on one sheet. Data in one table, and separate "presentation" tables and charts that draw on that data. Some of the templates at File > New in your menu provide good illustrations of that approach.
