Sierra screen sharing poor resolution

Hi,

Since Sierra, using screen sharing to access my iMac (also on Sierra) has been hard on my sight!

Indeed the remote screen keeps refreshing all the time and is pixelized a lot and display a bunch of small "ghosts" everywhere, compared to an almost perfect screen sharing display before Sierra.

The only thing that has changed are the OS on both my iMac 2009 and MacBook Pro 2014.

Of course I've setup the Quality to : "Show the screen at full quality" but that doesn't change anything

I've played with my iMac res, but no change.

Any idea?

Hello johnnygoodface,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with screen sharing. Based on what you described, I would adjust settings in Preferences like View > Turn Scaling Off or View > Turn Scaling On and “Adapt quality to network conditions” under Quality.

macOS Sierra: Set up and use screen sharing

You can figure out if unexpected behavior is related to a user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Cheers!
