Best combo wireless router modem to buy

I just need to know what is the best Wireless Router/Modem combo to buy? Mine is 9 years old!! I have a New Dell, 2 TB PC, not yet used or set-up, & I am still using my 2008, Mac 10.5.8, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz, 1 GB, 667MHZ. And I have a ipad Mini 2, 32GB, & a Samsung Galaxy Cell. Three of these were gifts, I bought the Mac! I am just not computer savvy to know what to get. My ipad is warning me I am using WPN & that's not a secure connection. Plus I think it's time i NEED a upgrade. I have Charter Spectrum cable. Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated. Thank-You!

Spectrum will provide you with a new modem/router if you request one. I would not recommend buying your own modem. You may request a basic modem from Spectrum to which you can connect your own router. In this case, I would suggest the Airport Extreme Base Station router.

The best security to configure in the router is WPA2 Personal (AES). Use a strong password for better security.
