It's a gray circle with a rocket ship icon. On modern Macs, you can press the F4 key to access it. By the way, to drag an application into the Dock, you don't need to use Launchpad, you can just drag it from the Applications folder in Finder to the Dock.
Click on finder , under favourites > applications > you will find launchpad .
to find launchpad open spotlight its the little spyglass in the top right corner click on it and type in launchpad
