It says tap the eara code first well I was reviewing my Apple ID what does that mean?
I don't get it I tapped the eara code it went to paste

Where it now says 617 tap the 617.
It means when you are entering a phone number start with the area code by tapping it first, which would be the numbers 123 in this instance.
Without any context such as where you were specifically and maybe a screen shot it is difficult to answer your question.
I don't see anything in your screen shot about paste. If you have copied something and you hold down your finger it will go to the paste option. Tap means just that, a light tap.
