iTunes won't work after fresh install

Hi there,

after a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro, I just can't seem to get iTunes to work properly.

I have all my music backed up, so that's not a problem. After installing iTunes and wanting to open it, I already get the message that Apple Mobile Device Support has a problem, and that I should uninstall and reinstall iTunes. I do that over and over, nothing happened. Here's an overview of what I've tried so far.

  • using WinRAR, I unpackaged the iTunes6464setup.exe and install all the x64 components individually. This allowed iTunes to start up, but freezes every time I connect my iPhone 6, which leads to a force close.
  • I tried turning off automatic syncing by unchecking the "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically'' box, this didn't work.
  • I tried making a new user account on my pc, same problem and did not resolve anything.
  • I tried to connect my phone to another computer, this did work because that is the computer I used to temporary sync my phone while my actual computer (the one with the bugs) went into service which lead to the fresh install, this did work, but I want to change my default library with this computer.
  • I also thought it had something to do with iExplorer, so I uninstalled that and all other iTunes components, reboot, and install iTunes again. This did not work.
  • Then I went on a hunt to find older versions of iTunes which i know worked on this computer, but newer than iTunes 12.4, since that is the update required to support iOS 10. This...did not work.

Contacting Apple for iTunes support is a pain in the ***, cause it's an endless loop of going back to the Apple Support page.

Any more suggestions? Thank you in advance

If iTunes has apparently installed successfully reboot and then try the following in turn until iTunes will open and close normally:

after installing iTunes version 12.5.2 (because thats the last known working version on my pc before fresh install) i still got the message AMDS did not install. While trying to install it the first time, i got

this message. User uploaded file

After runnning the installer again, it installed successfully. Then when I tried to run iTunes, i got this message

User uploaded file

I'm seriously hopeless. What to do now??

i installed it in another folder just in case some virus or similar targeted the default folder. I had the AVG PC tune up for a while and i set it up so iTunes will be deactivated. I realized after some testing that when opening iTunes AVG would take over and deactivate it, but i had no way of changing this since my trial was over and i couldn't make any changes to the program. After uninstalling it, I started getting those messages.
