I left my case plugged into my computer over night and today when I checked it out, it was almost dead. Didn't charge a single percent, am I missing something?

Is your case plugged directly into your computer via USB or does it go through a hub like on your monitor?
I was having this same issue with mine... The cable plugged into the built-in hub in my monitor would push enough power to charge the Pods themselves, and my iPhone, but NOT to charge the case.
Once I plugged the same cable directly into a USB (3.0 not sure if that matters) port on my computer it started charging right away.
Same here, it wont charge via pc nor power bank
I have the same problem, USB charges the iPhone, but the AirPods case doesn't, using the same USB in a Windows 10 computer.

If you charge from your computer make sure it is set not to go to sleep. The OP probably had his computer go to sleep which stops USB charging and can actually deplete the battery on external devices.
