"Accept" invitation not working in Photos, but did on iPhone

Howdy. A friend shared a photo album with me. I accepted the invitation on my iPhone. However, my macOS Sierra (10.12.2) Photos (2.0; 3130.0.240) still has a badge for a new invitation. Whenever I launch Photos, I see a badge under the Shared|Activity side-menu. When I click on Activity, I can see the invitation, and am presented with two clickable words--Accept and Decline. I can spam click Accept and nothing happens. The invitation remains in this state, even if I close and re-open Photos.

Thanks for the assist.

No, it does not. The only element I have under Shared is the aforementioned Activity(1) (the invitation). I also viewed all my photos via the Photos sidebar element and my friend's shared pictures are not there. The photos I take on my phone show up in Photos, so I know the linkage between iPhone Photos and macOS Photos is there and working.

I will add that I shared an album with my friend via my iPhone and she received it. I do not see this shared album under Photos, either. So it appears that both sharing and accepting shares from my iPhone are not showing up on macOS Photos.
