Green Screen Floating Head

Hello all. Any help much appreciated.

I'm hoping to record my head addressing the camera and in an ideal world would use green screen to get it as near to free floating as possible. So it just appears to hover there. Ideally like Oz.

I've not had a go with the green screen feature yet but before experimenting I thought I'd see if there were any tips on how to best achieve this. I suppose a polo neck in the same colour as the backdrop would be best, but I can't see me getting one in the ideal croma colour.

Maybe my head through a snug slit in the right coloured sheet of fabric (provided I could eliminate shadows) might be another bet.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

HI, Dan,

Both of your ideas sound good. Another way would be to drape yourself in a green sheet that is the same fabric and color as the background. Also, iMovie's green screen feature actually is a green/blue screen feature that works with blue backgrounds as well as green.

Regarding the color spectrum, in making green screen stills I have found that many shades of green work. Doesn't need to be any exact shade match.

Best,
