Mac Question

Since I'm buying a Mac, I've been looking at different websites for maybe a cheaper price than what Apple sells for. One website I saw was called bhphotovideo.com and I'm not sure if it's legit. Please let me know if you have ever used this website and if it's actually a good website to buy a Mac from. Thanks!

Also - if you have any other suggestions of where I could get a cheap MacBook Pro please let me know.

The best deals I have found online for new Macs have been at Expercom. They usually sell for the retail price less the implied cost of the one year warranty. No sales tax and shipping is usually $10-30 depending on weight. Apple ships for free but charges sales tax. This tends to be more than Expercom's equivalent. In some cases Expercom may include upgrades for memory at much lower prices than Apple charges. I've purchased two laptops and an iMac from them. Very good company. They are approved resellers which means if you need warranty repair you will need to send it back. Apple shops won't repair them as I understand.

B&H Photo is also legitimate.

B&H Photo & Video may be an Apple-Authorized Reseller. Some in the Reseller program have an agreement to resell Macs with custom features added, or software bundled. (This category, intended for small software developers, exempts them from the usual requirement that they buy HUGE quantities of mixed product, and provide service.) Sometimes what they bundle is lower-cost AppleCare.
