Hello Williamfn247,
Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about the Global Address List in your Contacts Groups. This is usually experienced with business accounts, meaning that you may not be able to remove it without removing the profile.
Two articles I found about this are here:
1. How to delete an app that has a configuration profile on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
2. Use Mobile Device Management and Find My iPhone Activation Lock
Speaking about the first article, if you downloaded some third party app that also installed a configuration profile, you will be able to delete that app (unless it is required by your work, company, or other required apps,) using that article. If not, it may be related to the Mobile Device Management from your company. You would need to speak to your IT Manager there to ask about it.
Thanks again for checking out the Apple Support Communities and have a great weekend.
