Apple music won't play on my MacBook

I'm signed in- everything looks ok- but when I click on a song to play it just... hangs.... and nothing. It's working fine on my iPhone- what am I doing wrong?

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

I'm new to Apple Music. When I'm listening through iTunes on my iMac, certain songs won't play at all, like it's buffering. The same album works fine in my iPhone 7. The only way I can get the songs to play through iTunes is to Create a Station, but then the next song is from a totally different album or artist.
