I've had this problem too, generally when the concert has become corrupt. If you have a back up of the concert you were trying to load, or have a version you can recover from a Time Machine back up, you may be in luck. That has always worked for me.

If MainStage is refusing to open because it is trying to open a corrupt concert, you may want to try clicking on a different concert and then having MainStage open that one instead.

A bit of a long shot here, but have you tried turning off Advanced Dictation (the Dictation option that operates locally) before opening MainStage? A number of forum users have reported problems following a MacOS Sierra update. The problem is then cured if they uncheck the Advanced Dictation option. (I found the "Advanced Dictation" option in the "Keyboard" tab of System Preferences.)

Pierattilio,

after the crash, a crash log is produced by the system. Send this crash log to apple.com/feedback.

Sometimes, it is possibles from this log to tell, what's going wrong. If you save it as a text file and put it up on dropbox or another data sharing service, I and maybe others might take a look at it and give you an advice.

Which computer model do you have? Do you have AudioUnits installed?

Best,

DaCaptain
