Bootcamp windows 10, can't read Mac's partition (modified settings before)

Hi, I have been changing the setting of my macbook pro recently. Currently I would like to do a dual boot (Windows 10 <---> OSX). I have tried to use linux as well previously and changed the settings a bit ( on the post Boot Camp Windows 7 "Missing Operating System" ).

Here is the current situation:

* Both of my OSX, Windows 10 works fairly well

* But in Windows 10 , I couldn't access/ read my MAC partition (likely because for what I did back in Boot Camp Windows 7 "Missing Operating System" )

I did all the commands to check my partitions status again, they look quite weird.

- diskutil list

User uploaded file

* not sure why there is a disk1 (internal, virtual) part that looks exactly the same as my disk0s2

- sudo gpt -r -vv show disk0

User uploaded file

- sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

User uploaded file

*** 2,3,4 all blanked here

- sudo gdisk /dev/disk0

User uploaded file

* MBR is marked as protective here

Not sure why but both OS actually work very well, except I couldn't read the MAC partition from windows. Actually I did try to manually mount the MAC partition in windows, but there is formatting issue and asked me to re-format the MAC partition (which I obviously didn't do it).

*I wouldn't mind to make any adjustments, including to reinstall the windows 10 to get the set up right again.

I believe I just need to do the flagging all over again in gdisk and it would be fine.

* thanks for last time, Loner T. Unfortunately I find the experience of dual boot way better than including ubuntu after a while.

The first link you have posted is closer to your situation. The solution on your link is the same as what is posted on Windows 10 Anniversary + Boot Camp = no longer mounting Mac partition by the same user about assigning a drive letter. In your case, it will not work, because you have CoreStorage, not a HFS+ volume. You can revert back to JHFS+ using diskutil cs revert command, but be aware the BC6.1 no longer provides the Apple HFS drivers for Windows. The error message is correct, because the CS volume cannot be recognized a HFS+ driver.

The second link does not apply in your case, because you have the standard GPT. You do not have an MBR, and you may not need one, based on the Mac's year/model.

More informations (somehow the edit button isn't working) :

I removed rEFInd and did csrutil enable, now choosing OS by "Startup Disk" and it works. Mac can access windows partition.

The manual mounting on windows 10 is done as follow:

Didn't work for me though (I am 99% sure I set the correct value, I tried them all).

I believe this question, and solution is most related to mine:

Thanks a lot for replying that quickly.

About core stage, I have never heard of it (using it by default?). About HFS+, I checked and at "Windows\system32\drivers\" I do have both AppleHFS.sys and AppleMNT.sys (I supposed that means it is installed).

By reading your comments does that mean I just run the command "diskutil cs revert" in OSX?

PS. My macbook pro is retina late 2013

You can use the CS Revert command but, it adds an additional restriction. You cannot use Apple's disk encryption technology called FileVault2, because it requires CoreStorage. You have to decide.

You may be better off, if you choose an external shared disk between the two OSes, which would allow a corresponding backup strategy to be place for this drive.
