I can switch on bluetooth on my iphone but the problem is it cannot detect any devices. Even if my phone is beside the device. Is there any settings i have to set for my phone?

It may help to follow the instructions here, including contacting Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), making a Genius Bar reservation or visiting an Apple Authorised Service Provider again if necessary:
most bluetooth devices will not connect to devices they have not connected with before unless places in pairing / discovery mode
the manual of your bose speaker should describe how one goes about doing so
about laptops then bluetooth network sharing do not need pairing in settings->bluetooth it don't work like that
and about other phones then likewise you can't use bluetooth to pair with them and transfer data or the likes

I'm attempting to connect to my bose speaker..
But regardless of that,any devices i cannot detect.laptop,other phone and speaker.
