Daughter clicked on link to zzz.totmania.net - is her phone now infected?

My daughter (relatively new to the world of internet and smartphones) was sent a message by a friend with a link to website zzz.totmania.net which she foolishly (considering all my attempts at educating her) clicked on. The message was one of those "send to 10 friends and you'll receive something awesome" scams. She insists that as soon as the website loaded she closed it, didn't accept any confirmations or anything.

I decided to visit the site and found it to be some kind of lame 'love calculator' thing. Nothing obviously malicious. However, having reviewed my daughter's Messages app I can see it appears the link has been sent to a number of her contacts. She's saying this wasn't her and that it must have happened automatically. What's weird is that her messages normally appear blue but this one was grey. Example below.

Now I don't know much about iPhones (my phone is Android) but I was led to believe Apple are really safe in terms of viruses etc. Can anyone give me some insight here? Is this phone now infected with something malicious - if so, how? If not, how did this link get sent out to her friends - can my daughter only be lying and did actually send this herself? Advice appreciated.

After some research and a heart-to-heart we discovered she had sent those links herself. For anyone arriving here looking for similar answers the website itself looks safe enough, but obviously kids shouldn't be sharing links without knowing the implications. I thought that "send to 10 friends" nonsense ended a decade ago. I guess every decade brings a new naive generation onto the internet 😟
