I rented a movie and it said it should last 29 days but the movie went away after about 24 hours. any suggestions?

OK, so if you don't finish it in 24 hours, it's still in your "rented" list but you can't watch it and can't re-rent it so you can finish it until it returns in 30 days? I rented a movie two days ago, didn't finish it, and now I can't watch the rest. The movie is still on my iPad as "rented", and I have no portion to return it or renew the rental.
