GarageBand 11version 6.0.5 is there a free update
when I open up GarageBand on my Mac it tells me there is an update but when I click on, it takes me to iTunes and there is a charge to update I thought updates were free is this correct.Thanks

what are generally referred to as "dot updates," such as v6.0.0 to v6.0.5 are typically free, while full version upgrades are charged.
v6.0.5 is the last update to the version 6 series, the latest version of GB is v10; v10 comes free with new Macs, but if your latest version is 6 then there is a charge for v10
