I am trying to record sound using final Cut pro and I found out how but I can't seem to figure out how to record sound only coming from my computer. It was working before until I don't know what happened.
I just want to record sound only coming from my computer. I don't want to record any background audio coming from outside.

After you install Soundflower you will see new options in System Preferences->Sound: Soundflower (2ch) and Soundflower (64ch). I have never used the latter, but I use the former with ease.
I created a "Multi-output device" in Audio MIDI Setup, which I called "Soundflower+Built-in", but could be called anything you like (Audio MIDI Setup is program that sits in /Applications/Utilities in your mac):
Using this as output and Soundflower (2ch) as input, the ouptut of one applications "plays" simultaneously in the speakers (or headphones) and through Soundflower, and can be captured by another application as input via Soundflower. Works like a charm.

Soundflower adds new input and output "devices" that allow you to connect the output of one program to the input of another. Just using Soundflower as both output and input allows you to record. Create a multi-output device with Soundflower and built-in output together, and you can at the same time hear the sound and record it without external noise.
