Loss of Brightness control on Thunderbolt display with Sierra OS?

Since upgrading to Sierra OS - I no longer have brightness control on my thunderbolt display. Not on keyboard, or in system preferences (display, or Keyboard shortcuts) Any workarounds or suggestions?
