Safari Manual Migration of Favorites from 1 computer to another
I just bought a new macbook pro 15 inch mid 2015 2.8ghz 1tb. I have migrated everything over to the new computer manually, since I had used migration assistant to transfer files from old computers to new computers for the last 15 years and had accumulated ~100 GBs of legacy files and apps that had bogged down my system, and chose this time around to perform a clean install.
I have transferred everything over to the new computer except my Safari favorites. I'm running OS El Capitan 10.11.6.
I wasn't able to find any instructions on how to manually transfer Safari Favorites on the community boards. Are there instructions on how to manually transfer the Safari favorites from 1 computer to another?
I see several Safari folders and files in the Library Folder of my old mac. Is it just a matter of Air Dropping the following files into the corresponding folders on the new mac? Is there any particular order in which to move files over?
Library>Safari>AutoFillCorrections.db..Webpageicons.db-wal (includes Databases Folder, Extensions Folder, Local Storage Folder, Reading List Archive Folder, Remote Notifications Folder, Touch Icons Cache Folder, Top Sites File, Bookmarks.plist, and several other files)
Library>Preferences>com.apple.Safari.plist
Library>Preferences>com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
Library>Preferences>com.apple.Safari.Extensions.plist
Library>Cookies>com.safari.cookies
Library>Cookies>com.Safari.SafeBrowsing.binarycookies
Library>Cookies>Cookies.plist
Are there any other files I should transfer?
Thank you for your help.
