How can I copy my Comcast Mail contact list to Apple Mail? Ideally, my system would be configured to do it automatically, particularly after a change to the Comcast Mail list. But short of that, how can I do it manually?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.6)
Log on to your Comcast account and access your Webmail mailbox.
Next, click on the Address Book link in the left navigation menu.
After the address book opens, click on the Export icon in the toolbar.
You will then have a choice of four formats for exporting. For importing in Contacts' contact list, select vCard (/vcf file).
Click on the Export button and save the file to a location on your disk.
Then go to gmail Contacts>File>Import... Import, and import that CSV file.

Thanks. This is useful information because I do also have a gmail account, and occasionally need to update addresses there as well. But my question was specifically for transcribing, on my iMac, email addresses from Comcast directly to Apple's Mail. (While I haven't a clue what I did to cause it, this morning this transcription now seems to be taking place automatically. Strange!)

Mail uses Apple's Contacts for it's contact list, & I meant...
Then go to gmail Contacts>File>Import... Import, and import that CSV file.

Where can I find this Apple Mail contacts list? It doesn't appear as a file in Finder, and when I open Mail, no button appears to click for contacts. Yet, of course, a list of contacts MUST be there because, when I start typing in an address in the address box, address options appear matching the letters I've typed up to that point.

Hello again BDAqua,
I did locate the Contacts.app in Applications using Finder. But once displayed, I could not find any means to execute an import of address data from Comcast mail, or from any mail application for that matter. It appears as just a list of addresses, with no function keys/buttons available to take any action. Any ideas?

In Contacts, look under the File menu at top left.
Jack, open Contacts.app in Applications, from there you can import & Export. 🙂
