Easy way to send video clips to friends?

Here's a quick version: How can I easily share clips of video from my NLE with colleagues using Messages? Should I be using some other app?

I work with some people doing video. Some are Android and some are iOS, I use the Messages App for macOS. It still seems in this day and age the easiest way to send a clip of something I'm working on to a colleague is by taking a video of my screen with my iPhone and sending it off. is there any easier or more 'efficient' way to send just a clip of video to someone through Messages? Like maybe have FCPX export just a small clip or record my screen and send it off? Just looking for suggestions here.

I feel like my non technical dad taking videos of my screen like this...

You can use QuickTime to take videos of your Mac's screen or anything on it.

Upload it to YouTube.com, and send them a link?

Unless it is a very tiny video clip, you could overflow your friends/family's email mailbox. If you are going to do that, then drag and drop the video clip into your mail message as you are composing it.

to upload the image, and send them a link?

I'm still holding out with Quicktime 7 haha, I haven't really tried out ten's new features yet, I'll check it out, good suggestion, and BobHarris, although that method does indeed 'work' (exactly what I do for longer videos for clients) but not necessarily very easy or as quick as a quick screen video with my phone. I haven't tried email either, I could give that a try, the last time I tried opening Mail it crashed my entire system lol.
