Cannot type apostrophe on iPad using keyboard case

Since a recent update (IOS 10.2.1), I cannot type an apostrophe (') on iPad any more using my Logitech Type+ for iPad Air 2 keyboard. The keyboard has worked perfectly fine for the last year I've had it, so I'm pretty sure it's an Apple update which has caused this problem.

I can, however, type the apostrophe if I press "caps lock" and then press the apostrophe key. I then have to press caps lock a second time to turn it off before resuming typing.

The double quotes sign " is unaffected.

Is there a fix for this? Or even a reason why Apple decided to change the apostrophe key?

Okay, I have now found the true source of the problem and the true fix for this.

I have an Ancient Greek keyboard installed on my iPad. When the apostrophe stops working, all I need to do on my keyboard is press the "keyboard symbol" (the button above the number 5 with a picture of a keyboard on it) and the regular iPad keyboard appears on screen, showing Ancient Greek characters. I then need to switch from the Ancient Greek characters to the default Latin characters (and I can then close the iPad screen keyboard and return to the bluetooth keyboard). Then, and only then, does the apostrophe start working again.

Contrary to what I assumed before, toggling the Caps Lock key does not actually bring back my apostrophe.

I've (look, apostrophe!) been having this issue with my Zagg keyboard case, but it's (woohoo!) been weirdly intermittent.

However, I think I've just got to the bottom of it - for me anyway...

It's the google keyboard.

Even though the onscreen keyboard vanishes when I turn on the bluetooth one, there's still some strange interaction.

I can replicate this reliably.

TO BREAK IT

1. Turn off BT keyboard

2. Change to google keyboard

3. Turn on BT keyboard

4. Apostrophies broken

TO FIX IT

I had the same problem, associated with Google's Gboard. When I switched back to the Apple Keyboard, it worked fine. Switching the Hardware Keyboard setting to US instead of Automatic made it work perfectly.

I love it when the internet comes together to solve some annoying problem I'm having.

By the way, I was using the Create Keyboard for iPad Pro. But the problem seems to affect multiple Logitech keyboards. Problem solved.
