Mac mini wall mount behind TV

There are a few threads on here skirting around the subject but no 'success' stories ?

There are a couple of images/video on-line. one of a board mount behind a 70" screen in a conference room and a video from a wall mount manufacturer underneath a TV which to me seems to defeat the point

I've put my hand on the back of my current 47" LG TV (about 18 months old) and it is barely luke warm

So has anyone done it with success .... or failure ?

Cheers

I have my 2010 mini sitting on the same stand that my 55" LG TV sits on. That way I have access to the optical drive. I use the bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. The only problems I can see with mounting your mini behind your TV could be interference with the bluetooth signals for your keyboard and mouse/trackpad. Do you plan on mounting the mini in its conventional orientation? You would have to have enough room behind your TV for that, either by moving it away from the wall or cutting a shelf into the wall, which is only 3-1/2" deep. I would think the HDD should work fine of you mount the mini vertically.
