I have an Apple Watch Series 1 and an iPhone 6. My wife invited me to share activity with her through the activity app on her iPhone. I can see the invitation in my Activity app, but when I click accept she shows up as a connection for a few seconds, then disappears. Her invitation goes back to "Awaiting Your Reply". Both of our iPhones and Apple Watches are on the latest versions of their respective OS.
The Sharing feature appears to be broken. I also cannot add or remove friends even after resetting my phone and watch multiple times. Now, my existing friends list doesn't even appear on my watch but does show on my phone? Hope they can fix this soon!
Get help with Activity Sharing
Activity Sharing requires iOS 10 and watchOS 3. If you paired more than one Apple Watch to your iPhone, the Sharing tab won't appear in Activity
until you update all your watches to watchOS 3.If you can’t add a friend, make sure that they have an Apple Watch and that you haven’t added the maximum number of friends. You can add up to 25 friends.
As long as your iPhone can connect to the Internet and you're signed in to iCloud, you can get updates about your friends’ activity each day. If your iPhone can't connect for multiple days or you sign out of iCloud, you might see missing days.
With yesterday's software updates to iPhone and Watch, everything is now working again! Interesting enough, my sharing was blank on the Activity app on the phone after the update. It was reset. So, just had to add my sharing contacts again and that was it! No errors, no issues since! Yay!! Thanks Apple!

Thanks for your help. Both of our watches and phones are fully up to date and neither of us have reached the maximum number of friends.

Thanks for the reply. I've followed your steps above to unpair and set up the watch again. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing the same issue. Any other ideas?
