Battery time estimate for Macbook

Hi, I've got a MacBook I bought at the end of 2015, with the latest software update 10.12.3

So I just recently noticed that there is no longer a time estimate for how long is left until the battery runs out, since I'm out and about way more now. My understanding is that it was permanently removed for not being accurate. Is that right?

I honestly don't care if it's accurate or not, because it's supposed to be just an estimate. Please tell me me there are plans to put it back. It doesn't need to be an obligatory thing for everyone, since I've heard the inaccuracy bothers a lot of people, but can't there be an option to turn it on somewhere? I can't tell how much time I have left by measuring the speed at which the battery percentage is being completed. My instinctive math skills aren't that high.
