mirror iphone to ipad without wi fi

Basically I want to use my iPad as a sat nav. Paired it to my phone using mobile hotspot but doesn't track movements (I've tried various apps). So I thought mirroring would be best option.

Sorry, there is really no way. You can get nice tablets with gps for about $100. I have a mini size Insignia from BestBuy. Not an Apple though.

Ahhhh makes sense. Thanks very much for responding. Can I connect them via some kind of lead? Or is there literally no way? An iPad as a sat nav would be cool that's all.

Hi. Some devices are AirPlay transmitters, some are receivers. Your iPad cannot serve as an AirPlay receiver, so you cannot mirror the phone to it.
