What is email "Sent - iCloud"?

Good day,

Sent a rather important email the other day through Apple Mail. Haven't gotten response since. Checking my Apple Mail sent box, I found out that the email was " sent - iCloud". Checking the Yahoo! sent box, I couldn't find the email I sent through Apple Mail...

I'm not sure what "Sent - iClound" means. I am not sure if the email was sent or not. The email does not figure in my Yahoo! sent box, so I assume it was not sent.

I'd like to be sure, though, before I send a new email, so I would like to know what does it mean for an email to be sent to iCloud. It's sort of an important email to my employer, so I'd prefer not to spam him.

I know I drafted the email a night before sending it, saved it into Drafts, then just opened it and chose to send it.

Thank you,

Andrew

It means it was sent using iCloud's outgoing server. Only iCloud email can be sent using that; other services will be using their own server or your ISP's. When you click the disclosure triangle next to the 'Sent' icon in Mail it show the different accounts in use. The Yahoo sent box doesn't come into it in this case; if you send any messages using the Yahoo account that's where they will appear.
