AirPods causing sores?

I received my AirPods a little over 2 weeks ago and have been thrilled with how well they work, but I noticed after about a week of using them that the inside of my ears became more sensitive. It became uncomfortable to put them in on one side, then the other. Even though I stopped wearing them as much, there are now open sores inside each ear and it's actually quite painful to wear them on either side.


Has anyone else had this issue, or am I the only one?

iPhone 7, iOS 10.2.1, 128Gb, Space Gray, Smart Case

Hi


I suggest that you stop wearing your AirPods and consult your doctor / physician in respect of your sores.


Once your ears have healed - and subject to your doctor's advice - you may find that a different style of earphones is better suited to your ears.


For example: BeatsX (or similar), with soft eartips:
