If you have accidentally saved the 'About:blank' in your bookmarks
you could remove it same as any other unwanted bookmark then it
would not be available as a default either...
Although I've encountered a saved About:blank in my bookmark
folder, it wasn't there originally. So it may have occurred due to a
saved History. ~ There are in-browser commands some versions
can use, such as 'about:config' among others; browser shortcuts
to change the default functions.
Seldom do my computing needs require a homepage in browser
to be set or run on launch; so I usually choose a blank option...
Of course my Macs generally have at least three browsers.
You could check your browser bookmarks to see if 'about:blank' is
a saved internal page in the browser; if so, just delete it.
Good luck & happy trails! 🙂
If your computer is randomly going to an 'about:blank' page, there may be
other indications of bad extensions or adware, or other things going on.
Rare but not unheard of, when I researched this topic yesterday; some
users who'd acquired bad copies of software from untoward sites online
had some issues as a result. Or poser sites offer doctored 'free' badware.
So the question does remain, if there IS anything else to detail this issue.
In any event...
Good luck & happy trails! 🙂
