Target Display Mode not working with command-F2
I've rebooted both the MacBook and iMac.
iMac worked fine with a 2013 MacBook Air, but not new MacBook.
Any guidance is appreciated.
iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 10.2.1
I've also got this issue, but with a 15" Touchbar running the TB3 -> TB2 adapter.
Stupid thing is that it works with an older MBP without any issues. Just seems to be affecting the new laptop.
Anyone else seen anything like this? Is there an update for the adapter firmware that might need to run?
Same for me. Often, I'll get my TDM iMac to 'catch' was it has the wrong resolution and is not fixable. Other times, it won't respond at all. One in a while it will work perfectly, but I can't figure out how o replicate the perfect scenario.
Using with a 2016 rMBP with touch bar.
Never had problems with my previous 2014 MBP.
Maybe try this...
I have found that Target Display Mode will work, but only if I do command-f2 from the login screen. After logging in, the command does nothing.
Or FN+CMD+F2 ?
This helped thank you very much. Strange because it doesnt help if you enable funktion keys in settings, but when i -as you said did FN+CMD+F2 it worked immediatly 🙂
