Syncing contacts between iPhone and Watch

Help wanted to sync my contacts btn iPhone and Watch. At the moment the number, not contact name, appears on the watch. I've tried resetting the synced data from the Watch App on the iPhone, but that hasn't worked. Does anyone have any other tips?

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 3.1.3

Hi

It may help to follow these steps:

On your iPhone, in the Contacts app, check that there is a single contact card for each of your contacts and that each card contains that contact's full name and phone number.

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Reset > tap once on Reset Sync Data.

  • Nothing will seem to happen, but the process will run in the background / invisibly to you, so allow some time afterwards for it to complete.
