Bluetooth hands free call issues - iPhone 7 plus & 2016 Ford Fusion

I have a 2016 Ford Fusion and I have an iPhone7 plus. First, it takes a long time to pair up, then, I am unable to make a call without dialing the phone. When I try to make a call hands free it finds the number then says, call ended, it never connects. I thought it was the car so I went to the dealer and they were able to pair and make calls using a Galaxy phone. I see that others are having the same problem and it seems like its connected to the upgrades. Please assist...

Hi Dapsdaughter,

I understand that you are having some issues with making calls through your car stereo when paired through Bluetooth with your iPhone.

Check out the troubleshooting provided for this issue here:

Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo - Apple Support

If you're using Bluetooth

Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device.

On your iOS device, swipe up to open Control Center, then taptwice to turn Bluetooth off and back on.

Restart your iOS device.

On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.

Update your iOS device.

Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.

If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.
