apple pay: card activated by bank but not on wallet page

I added a credit card to my apple pay function in Wallet. I completed the activation process via a call to the bank with subsequent activation code. The bank says the card is activated and ready but the ApplePay app still shows, "verification required". I tried delete and re-adding, phone off-phone on, software updates but the problem persists.

iPhone 7, iOS 10.2.1

Hi


It may help to follow these steps:


  • Go to: Settings > iCloud - at the bottom of the screen, Sign out.
  • Go to: Settings > Touch ID & Passcode - Turn Passcode off.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Sign back in to iCloud, turn Passcode back on and try again to add your card.


When adding the cards, follow the steps here:

Set up Apple Pay on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac - Apple Support
