It likely is due to sharing and iTunes/ iCloud account. go to the settings in the iPhone and click on the ICCAT iCloud tab. At the top you'll see the Apple ID you are logged in as. Click on the ID and then select view Apple ID. In the top right there's an edit button and you can change the name/Photo on the account.
For the text messages, under settings click on the Messages tab. Click the numbers/emails that you want to receive and send text from on each device under "send and receive".
