The Associated 90 Day Apple ID/Device Limit

The wife has purchased a new iPad Pro and I have received the old iPad 2 as a hand me down. We went to the Apple store to ensure that the switch from old to new would go without difficulty and that the iPad 2 was set back to the day one, original factory specs; as I wanted to start with a clean slate.

So, I am just looking for some clarification regarding this ...

"Computers and devices can be associated with a different Apple ID once every 90 Days. Days remaining indicates the number of days before you can associate the specific computer or device with a different Apple ID."

I have have synced the iPad to my computer and download my music to it; it all works as advertised. In my instance here, what does this 90 Day Device Limitation really mean? Will there be any issues after these 90 Days have expired?

There won't be any issues unless you wish to sign out of the iTunes/App stores with your AppleID and use another.

You can only change the AppleID used in the stores once every 90 days for any given device. Since most people never change the AppleID they use with their own devices, it is never an issue.

Its really there to stop people who are not related (and thus cannot or do not use family sharing) to illegally pass on purchased content (i.e. Friends signing in and out frequently to "share" purchased music or apps).
