Iphone is stuck on USB charging and Itunes symbol. Cannot turn on or off. Cannot restore through itunes. Please help, I dont mind losing all the info on the phone, I just need to get it working.. Thank you!

I was able to put it in DFU mode but the home button has to be held the whole time or it will be in recovery mode, so I weighted the home button down so I wouldnt have to hold it. It takes HOURS for it to extract software then attempts to restore it and finally after all that an UNKNOWN ERROR CODE -1

Yes thats exactly what it looks like. When I try to restore it, its says half way through the process almost to the end that an unknown error has occured -1
Now my serial number shows until the restore portion begins and then the serical number disappears and it says n/a
